BUT FIRST... LET ME MAKE MY SELFIE!

Website: www.selfieteatox.com

I have had the same views as others on detoxing as I never believed that they worked, after all it’s the livers job to detox and disregard the rubbish. After always being tempted to try them but the price always put me off and the ingredients used I never took the plunge.

‘Selfie Teatox’ which is a 100% natural detoxing tea unlike others that have chemicals and artificial flavours which defeats the whole thing.  The tea, unlike many comes in small tin jars which look much cuter than others which are packaged in re-sealable plastic bags (boring). I also gained a 10% discount code from following and messaging @selfie_teatox on Instagram.  I ordered the teatox which consisted of 14 days of tea, which are split into daytime and night time. (Pineapple and berry tea for the day, and cocoa and vanilla which is to be taken every other night)
14 Day Teatox: nightime (left) and daytime (right)
They smelt amazing, and the best bit was that it could help reduce cellulite, flush toxins and help aid in weight loss (Hallelujah!) The tea tasted like a fruit tea, with a hint of spice which I liked. The night time ones are a little sweeter and relaxed me before bed.
Within the first week of me detoxing I lost 7ibs, saw a reduction in my cellulite and had clearer skin. I was also less fatigued and had more energy.
I wanted to hate this product because of my views on the detoxes. But you can't argue with results. However detoxing should be used as a short term plan whilst being teamed with exercise and healthy eating to see better and faster results.

L'OREAL BRONDE HAIR DYE REVIEW.

The new look for this summer seems to be the “Bronde” look; half brunette, half blonde. Which for someone like myself who has dark features would be perfect as it would combine the two. I have always wanted to go blonde but was afraid of it not suiting me and the price each month to have my roots maintained put me off.
I thought this would be a good idea as I was bored of my hair and seeing as bronde is a compromise between dark and light I decided to go with it. Then,  if I liked the results I could always go to the hairdressers and get it maintained or even take the plunge and go blonde!

I read the instructions and started to do my hair section by section combing the brush through where I wanted the new colour to go, which wasn’t easy as I had to make sure that enough product was evenly spread from top to tip. I left it for 45 minutes as stated by the leaflet. I washed a small section to see if the colour had taken, it hadn’t! I went over all of the sections again and gave it another 45 minutes.

After washing all the product out hoping to see results I pulled the towel away expecting glorious streaks of honey blonde shining through my dark hair there was…. NOTHING! No change at all! This product in my opinion for anyone with dark hair is a total waste of money and time, if you want highlights, Ombre or “Bronde” hair go straight to the hairdressers.

ALL ABOUT THAT WAIST!

The hourglass figure is one of the world’s most desired body shapes among women and men because it signifies fertility. The likes of Iggy Azealea, Nicki Minaj and Jennifer Lopez who have appeared in countless magazines promoting and oozing confidence over their shapely figures, of course  airbrushed- but that's not talked about! It has become such a trend that women worldwide are using dangerous extremes to achieve it.

The corset started in the Victorian era when they were sewn into women's dresses to cinch in a women’s waist giving the illusion of a waspish shape. Eventually the love for the corset was lost after the Victorian era due to the health complications that people were experiencing including fainting and nausea to say the least.

In the 21st century the corset is back with a vengeance, still with the same health risks. It appears that the cosmetic motives for buying and using the trainer seem to outweigh any health concerns that women may have, especially when the product promises a new shape in weeks without extra hours at the gym or reducing calories!

The corsets are being endorsed and promoted on social media sites such as Facebook, Instagram and twitter by celebrities all over the world- most who are self confessed 'role models' who clearly would rather get paid for an endorsement than their followers health.

While the exterior may appear to be in shape, the same cannot be said for the interior.  There are severe risks of breathing difficulties, fainting, nausea, internal organ re -alignment and bad posture if fitted incorrectly.  The craze has whipped the female population into a frenzy: everyone’s doing it.  The choice that women need to make is whether vanity and acceptance offsets the price of their future health!
